Position Overview :
This role performs the following duties personally or through SitusAMC department supervisors and representatives. This role plansfor a Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation and content that contributes to the overall success of our products. You will join a team of talented subject matter experts who work collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, product owners, solution architects, and usability experts to make our products easier to use for both internal partners and external clients.
Essential Job Functions :
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create, edit, and maintain User Guides, Reference Guides, and other documentation for proprietary software to both internal partners and external clients
Updating Documentation Repository of version-controlled documentation
Collaborating with Technical Analysts to create, edit, and maintain documentation for proprietary software
Collaborating work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and user guides
Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
Collaborate with internal partners and third-party agency representatives to achieve SitusAMC training and documentation strategic needs
Such other activities as may be assigned by your manager
Qualifications/ Requirements :
2-3 years experience with technical writing and and maintaining technical documents, including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation.
Strong attention to detail
Able to work independently and in groups as required, and coordinate small teams of internal partners across multiple groups to create required documentation needs
Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Teams
Experience with screen capture software (e.g., Snagit, HyperSnap)
Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
Excellent written skills in English
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development
Special Requirements :
The employee may be required to report to a different local office as a normal, contemplated, and mandated incident of their employment
Working Conditions :
Office environment with frequent computer, mouse, keyboard use
Alternating between sitting or standing as needed
Hearing, talking, reaching, grasping
This position is available in all US Remote locations as detailed in SitusAMC’s Telecommuting policy. Colorado locations are currently excluded for this posting.
